Not to be trusted.I a greed to buy an ex-demo E-Pace P250S. Deal agreed was price plus 2 services, car transferred to one of their Scottish Dealerships and no admin fee.Deposit was paid at this stage. To cut a long story short. I asked for a copy of the specification sheet off the Jaguar website which showed up a number of active faults, one of which was a fuel leek under the bonnet. I emailed them 4 times requesting confirmation these would all be attended to before handover. All requests for confirmation that this would happen were ignored even although the car was under warranty! The day before settlement , when they knew I had sold my previous car and booked train tickets - the sales executive phoned to say they could no longer offer the deal. The car would only get the service currently due and (as they had ignored my communications for a few days) they had run out of time to transfer the car to Scotland and I would not get the equivalent cost reduction. They would throw in a tank of fuel and waive the admin fee which had been agreed at the outset.I was put in the position of either having to accept a car with outstanding issues and no undertaking to fix before handover and a poorer deal or get my deposit back and spend time finding another suitable car. Given they were breaking the contract and would not confirm the work would be carried out I had no safe option other than get back my deposit.The sales executive said he had referred it to his manager and this was the best deal he could now offer thereby breaching the contract agreed. Clearly they are not honourable and you should buy your car elsewhere. I sent a formal complaint to Jaguar and Pendragon who own Stratstone.
Service team were excellent. Although when enquiring about upgrading my f pace for a new one .not one sales staff returned my call .can only assume business must be good if can't be bothered to get back to me
Called to obtain a cost to service my vehicle. As it is on a private plate, they could not provide me with a quote as I did not know the original registration. How crazy is that - very poor. Are we too reliant on databases and now lack in simple customer service ? I has all details of the car and was able to get quotes from a number of other local Jaguar specialists. All this after 4 attempts to speak to Service without being cut off and one call answered with just background office noise.
